To help you stay ahead and stress-free, here’s a quick guide to when you should start thinking about your wedding favours:

✨ 6 Months Before the Wedding
Start browsing and collecting inspiration. Think about your wedding theme, colours, and whether you want something personalised or handmade. If you’re ordering from a small business or looking for bespoke touches, this is the time to start the conversation!

✨ 3–4 Months Before
Place your order—especially if your favours are custom, handmade, or come in batches (like edible treats, plantable gifts, or personalised packaging). This ensures enough time for production and delivery without rushing.

✨ 1 Month Before
Check everything has arrived and looks as expected if doing your favours yourself. This is also the perfect time to assemble or package them if needed. You’ll thank yourself for not leaving this to the last minute!

✨ Two Week Before
Double-check your guest list in case you need a few extras and let your supplier know if they are doing them for you. Always have a handful of spare favours on hand—just in case.

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming and pull you in all different directions.
My biggest bit of advice for wedding planning is to take advantage of wedding fayres held at venues you are considering having your wedding at.
Going to fayres can give you the insight to how a venue can be decorated, what suppliers service that venue and get you some good on the day deals.
Look out for fayres that may have extras on such as cat walk showing wedding dresses, jewellery, mens suits and more. And to keep your groom to be interested most fayres have suppliers such as cake makers who have samples, suits for them to discuss, entertainment for them to watch (magicians, roulette tables etc)
Meeting suppliers in person always helps too, you want someone you get one with and get that trust built up with.

Thank you to all my new followers, heres a little about me. It normally helps when finding your supplier to know who and why they do what they do.

So firstly, I'm Claire. I set up Sea of Roses while on maturity leave 7 years ago, and continued once I went back to work. I now work full time in the day and work weddings and stalls on evenings and weekends while also spending time with my boy and husband.

I love weddings! I love planning and creating! all this together gives me my business and a passion I thoroughly enjoy.

On top of weddings, I enjoy films, series, making wax melts, days out with the family and even a quick (or few hours) on the Playstation, when I can get it from my husband lol.
